This year the Environmental Caucus will be tabling at the Orlando Vegfest celebration!

This will take place on Saturday, October 25th at Festival Park 2911 East Robinson Street, Orlando, FL 32803. there are two shifts, a morning and an afternoon shift.

Shifts:

Setup: 8 am – 1 pm

Breakdown: 1 pm – 6 pm

Join us for an important community conversation about the future of climate policy in Central Florida. This forum invites all candidates running for office in 2025, 2026, or 2027 to share their vision for addressing climate change and protecting our environment. Each candidate will have three minutes to present the environmental policies they hope to champion if elected, followed by one audience question per candidate. This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from those seeking public office and to learn where they stand on critical climate issues.

Join the Orange County Environmental Caucus for our Earth Day Tabling Event at Lake Eola on Arpil 19th. This is a full day event broken into two shifts. We are looking for hands-on volunteers willing to help with setting up and breaking down the tent and table while also engaging residents that walk by. We will be signing up new members and asking Florida Residents to sign the Right to Clean Water petition to obtain the legal right to clean water on the 2026 ballot.

Drink Beer, Talk Climate is a social event where we meet up, support a local business and learn something about the environment with guest speakers from various scientific backgrounds. This month, Gabbie Milch from the St. Johns Riverkeepers and the Florida Water Alliance is speaking about water quality and water quantity concerns. Then Cheryl Rogers who is the head of the Right to Clean Water Movement in Orange County will be signing up volunteers and talking about their efforts to get the legal right to clean water on the 2026 ballot.

Join the Environmental Democrats during a Climate Candidate Forum which will allow candidates to speak about their environmental policies they hope to incorporate in their platform for whichever office they are running for. This event is May 1st at 6:30 pm and attendees will be emailied the location after registering. Candidates can fill out This Form to Speak

We will discuss our communications strategy around environmental legislative priorities, organizing for endorsements and planning upcoming events.

The in person location will be announced to those who register.

There is a hybrid option and the zoom link will be given once registered as well.

This is an amazing opportunity to mix and mingle with those who want to organize politically around environmental issues and to connect in deeper ways this holiday season with fellow eco-warriors in our area! Note: We will not share the details on the location in a public facing manner, only upon registration or membership.
